Occasionally you may encounter an error with Google's bot detection software when using Google Scholar.
Typically you'll see a message like "ERROR for site owner: Invalid domain for site key".
Fortunately, it's easy to get around this. If you see any error messages while trying to access Google Scholar,
choose one of the options below:
- Bookmark and search Google Scholar from this page to find online resources the Library holds. Then
simply click on the findit@flinders link to retrieve your content. You will be prompted to enter your
FAN and password to access the resource if you're off-campus.
- Alternatively, you can link your Google account to Flinders Library, so the "findit@flinders" links will always
appear – even if you don't start your search from this page. Go to our customized settings screen
and
click Save.
If you're logged into a Google account, it will remember that setting from now on.
If you have any further issues with Google Scholar you can report them here.
